Quickly, though: Everyone says to be yourself, but thing is as you progress you're expected to have more in your bag of tricks than simply sweat pants and shorts. Those are fine for Junior HS, but Sr. HS and especially college, you should have variety than shorts and sweat pants.
You should consider the situation and what clothes work best for it. Sneakers can work in most every situation, but there isn't one sneaker that can cover it all. Even "dress sneakers," which end up being very versatile can't cover everything especially gym class and similar activities.
Being very honest, you need to think about not just your age but also what you're planning on doing (e.g. activity). You could give us more information, such as age, general location, activities, what you see your friends wearing, etc. The more you tell us about yourself and what is going on around you the better people can help you.
