not like binders or notebooks. i already have all those things. but what do you guys think are the top ten things i would need for 9th grade. (14 year old girl)
Answer
1.a planner definetly! some schools give them out and otehrs dont. i would buy your own in case, and get em early because everyone takes all the good stuff by september.
2. big backpack - you will get many heavy textbooks. and get a backpack you wont regret later.
3. pens and pencils - mechanical is better because then u dont have to sharpen them and get up during class. pens are good for note taking
4. confidence - freshmen year is tough and all the older kids will bother you but try not to let it get to you
5. sensible clothing- many people will try to dress like sluts, goths, gangsters, etc. so try to wear clothes that you wont regret later. try to to attract attention so no neon colors, and weird things like that. and unfortunately people judge by clothing as well so be careful
6. a good dictionary - you will probably need it for homework, unless u prefer looking online
7. a graphing calculator if you're going into like geometry or algebra 2
8. keep you schedule on you at all times, but not like in your hand. (unless its the first day) maybe inside a notebook or your planner.
9. keep items you will need through out the day in your bag. chapstick, a mirror, maybe a comb and girl products, a bandaid
10. you should really have a phone fully charged in case you need to stay after and need to call parents and stuff like that. im sure u probably have one at 14, but i didnt my first year so i had to borrow my dads phone

I am going to buy a back pack for school and i want a "system of a down" backpack.I have looked for patches to put on a normal backpack but nothing is big enough.
please find me a item or site where i can customize a SINGLE backpack.
OR just a regular system of a down backpack
Answer
one idea you can try, get some of these
Avery #3279 Inkjet Dark T-Shirt Iron-on Transfers (5 pack)
http://www.110220volts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=10154792
so you can grab whatever logo you find on the net, print on one of those w/ your favorite word processor / image print utility and iron-on to get your custom backpack!
My wife had made custom tshirts for all the kids at my son's pokemon b-day party, I printed out one page-per kid w/ the kid's name (in a cool font) for the top back, a pokeball with the kid's name for the front pocket, and a big image of their fave pokemon on the back. Point being, you can print mutiple pics on one page, cut-out and iron-on to get a lot of small image or one big image (or a combination of the two) so you can get a lot of iron-on xfers per-page.
cheers
