best online site to buy backpacks?

doryjay

i want a dakine backpack for girls were is the best site

Answer
I'm not too sure of the brand you refered to, but REI has great sales now for backpacks for all sorts of needs: school, kids, adults, hiking, camping, travel, etc. We own 2 REI hiking backpacks, but I am going to purchase an everyday backpack this week to use for work.

Good luck!

How much do you usually spend on back to school shopping, just for moms of 2 or more kids?

Magali

I have 3 kids ages 8, 7, 6 and so far i have spend $65 on just school supplies, i still need clothes and shoes and backpacks and so forth so how much do you spend?

Answer
I have 2 kids (7 and 5) and I'm hoping that I can get by with spending $300 together for clothes, shoes, and school supplies. Right now most of the supplies are on sale for like $.15, $.25, and $1.00. Book bags usually cost us around $15-$20. I do still buy all their clothes from like Wal-Mart, Target, or other stores if I can get them on sale or decently cheap especially since by Christmas they'll probably need new clothes anyways. I'm also hoping I can find shoes on sale at Shoe Carnival or some other good shoe store.

If my backpack smells of weed but no possession and the drug dog catches me, will i get in trouble?

Q. Let's pretend this happens at my high school and more specifically, I'm asking for more details on legal/school punishment. I don't smoke it (meaning I'd pass drug tests) but I've carried some in my bag for a friend and it reeks of marijuana. My school has some cops come in with those dog sniffers frequently and I don't think I can get rid of the smell.

Answer
Dear Waterhol,

Without finding any drugs in your possession you cannot be legally prosecuted or punished by the law.

Understand that by carrying and transferring between people you have crossed the line between a wrist slap for use and the draconian possession for transportation and sale. Lots of "nice" kids in custody for the latter.
And never think you will not be threatened with real jail and particularly if they want you to reveal names of your contacts. And do not be surprised when a "friend" gives-up your name to avoid penal charges as their "drug supplier"

You are playing a dangerous game with no benefits to you. Get rid of your "bag" and GROW UP. Too many truly innocent people in jail for your type of stupid behavior.

Should you be labeled a drug user by your school, it may likely go on your school record. Further, schools do not bother with little things like evidence, presumption of innocence or right to a fair trial. They act "in loco parentis" meaning in place of your parents while you are in their custody and control. This empowers them to be irrational, unfair and without any control over their behaviors and conduct with respect to any suspicions about your possible drug use.

Use school for getting an education. You have a lifetime ahead of you for being stupid. Illegal drugs have never helped anyone (except people with glacoma or requiring relief from cancer treatment). They have no place on campus.

Ideas for names of non profit organization that gives kids oppurtunities to get an education?

Hello

I am starting a non-profit organization that gives backpacks with school supplies to children in Africa and South Asia. I am partnering up with other organizations that build free schools for poor children, and I will provide those children with the backpacks and school supplies. Its not necessary that name has the word "backup or supplies" The name should be inspirational. So can you help me come up with a inspirational, creative, and catchy name for my organization? Thank you for being part of the change :)

Answer
The name is the least of your problems.

A nonprofit organization is a LEGAL entity and ONLY adults can file the legal documents and conduct the legal affairs.
You must be at least 18 to do this.
No, your mother can not do it for you.

A nonprofit organization is a corporation, just like Sears, or General Motors, or McDonald's.
You must file Articles of Incorporation papers in your home state the same way.
That costs about $500.

You also have to search the business listings of every state where you want to do business to make sure that no one else is using the name that you choose.
Yes, EVERY STATE.
if even one person in one state is using that name, YOU can't use it.

You must have a board of directors, officers, a place of business, board meetings, and publicly available minutes of those meetings.

You must file form 1023 to apply to the IRS for tax exempt status.
There are 31 different tax exempt categories.
From your description, you probably fit into section 501.c.3 of the IRS Code.
Failure to do this can land you in prison and you will have to pay taxes on any money you collect.
You can read more about it here.
http://www.irs.gov/charities/index.html

After you get IRS approval, you apply to your state for a solicitation license.
That's free, but if you try to collect money from the public without it, you will face a $1000 fine and a year in jail for EACH offense.

You can also apply to your state for a sales tax exemption certificate so that the organization doesn't have to pay sales taxes on its supplies.

Then you set up sales tax reporting with your state revenue department.
No, you don't pay sales taxes.
You collect them from your customers and remit them to the state.
Failure to do that can also land you in prison.

Then you follow any local government regulations.

Then you file a bunch of reporting forms with the IRS and various state and local agencies monthly, quarterly, or annually - whatever is required.

So that's between $900 and $1800, NOT COUNTING LAWYERS.

THEN you can sell your stuff.

These laws exist for a reason.
We cannot allow just anyone to take money from the public and CLAIM that they are going to "give it to poor people".

It's time to be a grownup and learn to take care of your own life.

Find an organization that's doing the work that you want to do and volunteer.
Learn.

I know I'll be purchasing a new laptop so that'll be a couple hundred, but what about other things like bedding, microwaves (my school allows it), printer, backpack, bathroom items & other essentials? I don't want to spend more than $1000 but I think it'll happen anyway. How much did you spend?

Answer
both my kids didn't need a printer.

Might is highly recommend over the counter medications and first aid. and that can really add up. get every over the counter medication you could possibly need.

don't think we spent that much. look for bargains. bedding and microwave can run a lot or not. we got a great bedding set at Kohl's for a great price. More stuff for dorms will come out in July. look for sales.
