I have to raise $4000 so my high school music class can go to singapore on a band tour for a couple of weeks next year, any good ideas on how I could fund raise towards it? Please I need your help

I buy the spa/bathset ones with soaps, lotion, loofah and the tea ones (samples of tea in a cup that likely came from the dollar store or a thrift store). Although I tell myself I'll gift them typically I use them myself. Consider making your own soaps. Raffle an item or items, like a huge gift basket. Try to collect a $500 profit for the basket, but don't settle for less than $100 profit. See the link above for basket ideas. Ask local business to help you by donating coupons to include in a Retail Basket or Reuseable Shopping Bag. A gift card included in a Retail Bag would be more enticing. Again, try to clear at least $100 for each effort, Sell raffle tickets from $3 to $5 to $10 or even $20 if you have a really nice basket with a $100 worth of items.

Have a "Rent a Teen" service. You run errands, do yard work, clean garages or attics, help clean up after a party, babysit, etc. Always let your parents know where you'll be and don't go from one job to another without your parents knowing. Safety first.

Sell $.50 candy bars for $1...just double whatever you paid.

Ask your parents to help by selling items to their friends or hit up your other relatives. I did this to help fund my trip to France with the French club in high school. You might be surprised what relatives will give. I was.

Is it reasonable for bus commuters to place their shopping bags on adjacent seats?

..in crowded buses and depriving others, esp elders, of a seat? There have been cases of stubborn commuters refusing to place bags on the floor, and bus captains having to stop the bus to sort out the problems. Should there be better regulations to prevent such incidents before violence happens?

Frankly I find it totally selfish. It doesn't matter whether there are elderly or young people around, the seat is for people not shopping bags.

It's difficult to regulate this behaviour. Although a monetary penalty usually works, perhaps education on being courteous commuters would teach people to respect each other rather than the fear of losing some money. Within Singapore this would require a generational change in social graces and as such I believe it should be taught to children from the time they begin schooling.

Many people do sell lots of miscellaneous items (branded bags, branded watches, cheap clothing from China/Vietnam, etc) without licenses. They may sell such items through schools, on internet or some other means like through friends and colleagues.
*Sometimes you may find unlicensed durian trucks (from Malaysia) plying around the housing estates selling their durians to the neighbourhood.

Do I need to go overseas for a USA med school interview?

Hi! I'm from Singapore, and I'm wondering if I can use AMCAS to apply for admission to a medical school in the USA.
If I get called up for an interview by one of the med schools I applied for, would I need to pack my bag and go overseas, even if I would stand a chance of being rejected?

Schools that require an interview will often have either foreign offices or be willing to set you up with a local alumnus that you could interview with instead of traveling to the school for an interview. If you do have to travel to the school, ask them about travel arrangements, there's always a chance they can help make the travel burden easier on you through money or providing lodging or something else. So if you're in this situation, ask them what options they might provide other than traveling to the school for the interview.
