hey im doing design right now in school. i have my ideas, im designing a bag with the theme of london.
what i need help with is my reasearch page, it has to be photos and drawings.

i need to fill up the whole page but i cant think of much more to include.

what do you think a research page should include?

you should include the two elements: bag, and London. use clippings from magazines and travel brochures, then do some sketching inspired by this material. you can add lines with anything that comes to mind, like quotes you remember about London, a description of your favorite bag and so on. the feel of your research page has to reflect your creative process: are you the chaotic type (I am...) or are you very structured when it comes to creating?

Just wear whatever clothing you would normally wear here! There's not that much of a difference. If you want to be noticed, where one "statement piece" with each outfit. For whole outfit ideas, check out places like polyvore. People use pictures and put together outfits. There are literally thousands of them. If you don't like the price of the stuff they used, just look around at cheaper stores like H&M and Forever 21 for an alternative.

for this link, i searched "clothing". On the left, theirs a whole list of tags ranging from colors to different adjectives. Just click the tag you want for the color or style you want. Start out really basic by not tagging anything and just take a look. Then if you find a color or style you know you want, just click on that word from the list. easy.

Now. For the statement pieces, try i really noticable necklace or a bright bag, or sweet shoes. That'll make people notice you in a good way, as it'll catch there eye and spark they're interest. Once they notice the statement piece, they'll soon look at everything else you're wearing.

How you said it should be cold, try not to cover youself up in one puffy jacket. Instead, wear layers. That way, you don't have to wear a huge jacket, which would cover up what you're wearing. tanktops underneith shirts, loose shirt over tight shirt, stuff like that. Once it gets colder, find a cool stylish jacket.

Just as a tip, if you're looking for clothing under the category of "basics" like cami's and plain tshirts, there's no point in getting them at a more expensive store. Look to forever 21, as you can get camis for 3 bucks and t shirts for 5. that way,you'll have more money for clothing that, well, isn't the basics, like a stylish top.

How can I make my school uniform look indie/vintage?

Hello!
So I go to a secondary school in London, and I'm 15. My school uniform consists of a grey skirt, black tights/socks, black shoes, white shirt, black jumper, black blazer and a purple tie.

I already have black brogues, wear one ring (which is from India) every day and have two lobe piercings on each ear. I have long, brown, curly hair, and my everyday makeup is winged eyeliner and nothing else.

My school have just told me to get rid of my bag as it is not black. I prefer backpacks as I have to walk to and from school everyday and they are more comfy. If you have any links to vintage-looking relatively cheap black backpacks, I will be extremely grateful :)

So basically what I'm asking is how can I look more indie/vintage with a school uniform? Like ideas for different accessories and how to have my hair and whatnot. I'm not saying I will completely follow everything you suggest because I'm not that kind of person, I'm just looking for ideas. Any links to pictures/items for inspiration would be much appreciated.

I'm not asking this because I'm a wannabe indie kid or something and I want to fit into a crowd, I would just like to have a bit of an individual style, as everyone is forced to pretty much look the same at my school, haha.

Anyway, if you want a vintage look, buy a long dangling locket/clock necklace. If the eiffel tower is on it, bonus points. Also, the eyeliner is a great start! If you're bold, (and have felxible parents) do a bright red lip. Try NYC in Retro Red, I know you can get it in the states at any drugstore (cvs rite aid walgreens etc). Not sure about london. its 99 cents tho. If your parents are not for it, try the Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Cherry. It is red, but more sheer to give the illusion of a redder lip but still appear natural.

I am a sophmore in high school and I really need some outfit and shoe ideas for school. I don't like clothes that are really preppy, maybe an outfit that would go great with converse. Also, my school dresscode won't allow jeans that are torn or have holes in them, and all shirts must cover my shoulders.

Hello from London!

I would go with a pair of cute skinnies in any colour other than black/blue. Maybe a beige or a sky blue material,pale pink or burgundy if your feeling daring with a floaty white/cream cotton boho gypsy top...square or scoop neck with floaty shortish sleeves. Leave hair down and natural with a soft plete in a sort of "hairband" style from ear to ear but mess it up. Never to done remember! Finish of with cute vintage satchel or drawstring bag!
