My son starts kindergarten and I'm trying to do a budget, so my question is, how much did you other parents spend on school shopping( clothes and supplies)

Healthy party ideas for a 5 year old?

Hi everyone. Im so into planning parties that Im actually for the first time in my life - stumped on what to do. My 5 year olds kinder teacher (the school) does not allow cake, cupcakes or any sweets given to the kids while celebrating birthdays. Im not actually sure I'll do something for my son unless I can party it up a bit. To me that's having cake & party bags and all that good stuff. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make something fun for the kids while celebrating my sons b-day in class? They only get about 20 minutes or so.

You could still have party bags, just include things like erasers (fun shapes or characters), bubbles, pencils, play doh, coloring book, crayons, stuffed toys, stickers, glow sticks etc.

Would the teacher allow the kids outside for a bubble party? - look up online, there are many ways to make colored bubbles or bigger bubbles etc.

A popcorn party is fun. Add juice boxes for a healthy snack.

Fruit skewers - melon, strawberries, whatever is in season. Kids love eating things off a stick!

Chips and salsa.

Not sure if this would be considered healthy but... pudding cups?

Frozen grapes make a great snack.

Maybe the teacher would allow you to bring cake and have it at the end of the day.
