I want to use my backpack for school. It's not the typical straps on both shoulders but the type where you put the strap over only one of your shoulders. Here's a pic similar to it:

Im into working out, i work out 6 days a week so that's why i'm sorta worried that this bag will be bad for my shoulders. Should i just alternate which shoulder i use it on throughout the day?
Answer
The best bag for carrying a lot of books, etc is one which spreads the weight evenly over both shoulders and sits comfortably on your back without any bit to dig into you.
The type that go over one shoulder only (often called a courier bag) are not good for school. They are designed, as their name suggests, for couriers who need to get at the contents quickly whilst on the move.

I think it's okay, but a little plain. Also, don't worry about it being big enough or not; at my school, almost every girl carries a bag to school instead of a backpack. Freshmen don't actually have a lot of stuff to carry, since all you need is a binder and some pencils. You can keep your books, notebooks, and extra school stuff in your locker or at home. Here are some cute bags for ideas:

It looks kinda like the bag you choose, but it's made of leather and has more detail. I think it's much cute, durable, and will look good with pretty much any outfit.

These are my favorite brand for bags: Harajuku Lovers! They're really cute, come in lots of different prints/designs, and this tote is really roomy and big enough to carry everything you need. I have two of these (along with three other smaller Harajuku Lovers bags) that I use for school all the time. If $78 is too pricey for you, look in your local Ross or TJ Maxx for Harajuku Lovers bags. They have a lot at the Ross near my house and for only $30-$38!

I love the floral print on this and the leather, especially the small fringe thing.

This messenger bag is really sophisticated and it comes with a small handle to carry in with your hand or a longer strap to turn it into a crossbody or shoulder bag.

It's classy messenger bag but it adds a little fun with the edgy tribal print.

Sorry I know these aren't shoulder bags, but Loungefly has such adorable backpacks at Hot Topic. The bear and panda print backpacks are so cute!
