Emerald T

I am 14 and need a job (Real Job) Not like babysitting or cutting grass or walking dogs cause I need a lot of money within a year and a half ($16,000) For a 2007 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300.
Please don't just leave something saying "Oh you can't get a job at that age" or something like that or "Do odd jobs" I want a REAL job. I was thinking about asking the guidance office at school but I really wouldn't know what to say. Please help.
(All I need is advice on how to find a job)
I will be a lifeguard within this year and that will pay $15 an hour so I really just need a job till I turn 15 at the end of May.

There are labour laws and age restrictions for your age if you live in Canada or the USA its different please relpy for a clearer answer. If you live in Canada I suggest going to a grocery store and being a "bag boy". You will get paid but not be able to handle cash

What is he telling me?

!!!!!

A friend of mine is having problems at his house with his parents. He wrote me the following:

"When i moved back with my parents things were fine for like three days. I haven't even been here a week and they still haven't changed. Everything is still my fault. For no reason. They treat me like a ******* punching bag. Once im going back to school that's it. Im tired of having all their problems vented out on me".

I'm still learning English b/c I'm Brazilian and he's is the USA and we like each other. He doesn't specify if he's parents are having problems with each other or only with him, so what can I say since I don't know much just what he said?
I'm a girl!

Answer

Q. i have asked a guy in year 9 out well my friends did for me. And i really like him what should i do to get him to like me.... Any answers...??? HELP!!!!!

Answer
i guess you mean 9th grade freshman in high school if in usa . you can not make anyone do anything unless they want to. however you can influcence them by what you say do or act while around them. by the question this guy is either older or younger than you . you don't let us know your age or grade status so hard to tell you if its appropreiate or not. say if your a 6th or 7th grader it may not be approperiate. if an 8th grader it would be more approperate or slightly older a 10th grader that would also be approperate by most . there are exceptions to all rules of thumbs though.
1st off does he know you personally
2nd why send a friend to ask him out for you , he'll wonder why
3rd if send a friend they should be gathering info for you such as "do you know my friend so and so
what do you think of her? she was talking to me other day and she mentioned she like to get to know you. that kind of things

however it seems tha cats out of the bag so when you friend ask was it positive or negative. or non commital type answer such as " i don't know"

are you nice looking enough to where he might like your looks (not that you have to be a super model or anything) but alot of guys likes girls who are pretty. (also take into account that beauty is in the eye of the beholder ) what one guy may think is average another would think was stunning looking.

while around him if your not to shy of a person do alot of flirting any kind as longas its obvious to him your flirting . depending on the guy ,many guys don't reckonize body language of girls so they think a girl that flips her hair off her shoulders as her doing just that , not that that is a subtle flirt of her trying to get himto look at her (face /hair she justflipped)

Body language messages are sent automatically and unconsciously. Women send approximately five times more body language messages and gestures than men in the same time period. Women read body language much better than men. Men make a lot of mistakes in displaying their body language and make it easy for women to read their intentions.
Body language has proven to be our most reliable indicator of how others feel about us. For millions of generations, body language has been one of our best tools for successful survival and mating. Since humans learned to speak, we have switched to paying more attention to verbal messages and frequently ignore body language messages. This is unfortunate because unconscious body language messages are accurate and truthful. Words often are not truthful. When two people are relating to each other, the body language messages reveal how each person really feels about the other from minute to minute.

Body language comes from reflex responses deep in the limbic system part of the old brain. Most unconscious body language deals with survival and passing-on our genes to future generations (i.e. getting sex). Habitual body language that worked for survival and mating has been perfected and repeated for millions of generations. Women and men today are still using much of the same body language to attract a mate that their ancient ancestors used. Background Discover More . . .

Women's Flirting Body Language Revealed!
The most common way women flirt to attract a man's attention is preening. Tossing their hair around, stroking and combing it, and generally moving it away from face and shoulders to expose soft bare skin are strong signals that women use to get men's attention.
Another great preening move men enjoy watching is for a woman to do things calling attention to her mouth. Licking her lips, putting on lipstick, or eating something slowly with obvious great pleasure is stimulating to men. Just watching her mouth makes men hungry for the smell and taste of all of her stimulating and delicious pheromones.

Entwining her legs draws attention to being a woman. Men can't do this because their hips are too narrow. However, in this case it indicates not only that she is a woman but also she is closed to sexual advances from men. Her tight leg muscles indicate she is very protective of her private area. However, to most men her tight leg muscles are appealing and they are his challenge to untangle.

Slowly crossing or uncrossing her legs while gently stroking her thigh is unmistakable female flirting body language. Another great move is for her to adjust clothing with loosening, opening or exposing movements to call attention to her body. If she is clever, she exposes some bare skin in the process. This is where the guy accidentally misses his mouth and pours his drink in his lap while trying "not to look".

When sitting with legs crossed, bouncing her foot back and forth rhythmically while dangling one shoe off her toe signals much more than, "My foot is tired and I want to go to bed!"

When a woman rubs her neck or head with one hand, while talking to a man, it raises her breast toward his face and makes him fail to hear most of her

What do Americans think of chivalry?

Doritos

In 2010, when I was a school student in Kazakhstan, I went to the USA as the participant of a summer school program. There were 6 of us, and our instructors strictly prohibited our boys to help American girls with their heavy bags and to open doors for them, since they might be offended.

Can anyone explain what is offensive about that?
Louis, of course they are capable, but if it's much easier for a guy to carry that bag, so what's the problem? She'll do something nice in response too.
Or do American men do it like: "Hey! You cannot carry that bag yourself, can you? Lol what a p*ssy! Give me your bag, you piece of crap!"
I didn't notice that in the USA, to be honest, most of the guys were quite normal there in Washington DC.

Answer
I duno but I think that's harsh, im an English guy but I would have helped you or any woman struggling with their heavy bags, to me its part of being a man and you should respect woman in that way .... even if I got in trouble for it, I would have helped any girl struggling with heavy bags and fu*k who tells me I can't ..... theyd have to stop me :)

hey babe - add your naughty piggy back please - I was deleted :( but I got those besties first *hugs you and clings on*

They have two girls. We thought it would be nice to bring them something from the states as gifts. The girls ages are 11 years and 8 years. Any Ideas. As well as some ideas for the adults.

Answer
For the girls, T-shirts, bags or other things printed with the newest in movies for girls that age.
Like last year it was High-school the musical.
Or a famous American singer, or boy band for the older one.
(Ask the parents for the size or buy for a taller girl than you would expect that age in the USA, Dutch girls are often tall but not fat.)
If in doubt, but bags and accessories rather than clothing.

Or books American girls those ages like, English will be a little problem for the younger one, the older one might not even have problems at all. But comics or diaries for the coming school year will often do well.

For the parents, if the are American living in the Netherlands, bring things they like but can not or not easily buy here, root beer and mountain dew are some of the hardest things to buy.
But if they are Dutch,do not bother, they do not know what they are missing.

Always a good thing to bring are crafts and specialties that are special for where you live, like New England can bring maple syrup or cranberry preserve.
Always good are books with photos of your area, and as it are cousins, maybe you can bring photos over of your relatives in the USA.
(But try to judge how much they already have and have seen, have they been in the USA.)
If you have a good souvenir shop near you, go in and have a look.
Often you will see items you like but may want to buy from a craft shop or other kind of shop.

Keep the value of the gifts moderate, you want to say: "I am happy to stay with you," you do not want to say: "See how rich I am."

What is YOUR reaction to America's response to the Holocaust?

Answer
~If you refer to the Evian Conference, it was appalling. As Golda Meir expressed it, "With friends like you, we don't need enemies".

Historically purges and massacres of Jews was common. Witness the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks and the Romans. The Vatican had its Crusades and Inquisitions. Numerous expulsions/slaughters of Jews occured in Switzerland, Scandinavia, the Low Countries, Spain, France and England. Catherine of Russia that established the Jewish Pale At different times, government officials in Great Britain and France devised (but did not implement) plans to expel the Jews and settle them in a colony to be established for the purpose on Madagascar. Hitler wanted to do the same, but the war prevented his Madagascar Plan. As late as 1940, he told Himmler that killing them was not an option, that such "was a Bolshevik solution". Himmler, Heydrich and probably Goering conceived and organized the killing centers - surely with Hitler's approval but they might not have briefed him in until after the Einsatzgruppen had begun operations. By the Wannsee Conference, the killings had been underway for almost a year. George Washington and Ben Franklin urged at the Philadelphia (Constitutional) Convention that the constitution expressly expel Jews and deny them entry into the USA, or, if allowed to enter, deny them equal rights, equal protection of law, due process, the right of citizenship and the right of property ownership. In 1543, Martin Luther published "On the Jews and Their Lies", in which he advocated for burning synagogs and Jewish Schools and business and confiscating the property and wealth of "those vermin" and "devil's spawn", concluding "We are at fault in not killing them". The pamphlet was warmly received by clergy (Catholic and Protestant) and laity alike.

NSDAP sentiment toward the Jews was the norm, not the exception, although they may have carried it to a further extreme. Given the Crusades and Inquisitions, maybe not. Genocide as national policy was/is nothing novel. The US Bureau of Indian Affairs did the First Nations people, the Khmer Rouge had the Killing Fields, the Ottomans did the Armenians. More recently we have Bosnia, Rwanda, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan and the Congo (Zaire - where Mobutu Seko was installed and protected by Uncle Sam as he carried on his slaughter) and Indonesia (Where another CIA puppet, Suharto, was installed and protected even as he massacred his people). Other US pawns, installed by CIA, like Saddam, the Shah, the Somoza boys, Armas, Branco, Noriega, Papa Doc and Suharto filled their share of body bags, and the final tally might well rival the Nazi body count. Wrong Holocaust? Okay. My reaction to the US response is disgust and disdain, because the policy continues with the blessings of the power elite and the ignorance or unconcern of the hoi poloi.

Current propaganda is more disgusting. Are you aware that the Jews comprised but a minority of those exterminated by NSDAP "ethnic cleansing" and "racial purity" programs? In the thousands of Concentration Camps, as many as 18 million died. Those camps were not murder factories and the deaths were largely due to starvation, overwork, disease and the general conditions (not unlike the conditions at the CSA POW camp at Andersonville, Ga, or the Union POW camp at Elmira, NY). Hitler and Himmler both ordered on more than one occasion that conditions be improved because of the appalling death rate and those orders were obeyed to the extent possible, given the shortages of food and medicines. Although it was not of great concern whether the inmates lived or died, efficiency and need demanded that the maximum work be garnered from the slaves before they expired. Of the dead, approximately 3.6 million were Jews. In the dozen or so Extermination Camps, as many as 6 million died. About 2.4 million were Jews. Of the 6 million Jews who died, many would have suffered the same fate for other reasons, even had they not been Jewish. Had the Red Army not effectively repelled Barbarossa and gone on to defeat the Third Reich virtually on its own, with little meaningful military assistance from the Western Allies, another 30 million ethnic Poles, 30 million more Slavs and at least 30 million more Russian and Soviet Communists had been slated for extinction. The genocide against the Romany, Sinti and Serbs, as a factor of population, was far more complete than that of the Jews. The US did not enter the war because of the genocide - of the Jews or anyone else.

It is disgraceful that the vast majority of victims are ignored and forgotten. It dishonors their memory and encourages repetition. By the way, "Holocaust" refers to the entirety of the Nazi genocide programs whereas the purge of the Jews is known as "Shoah", at least in Israel.
