What is a good back to school bag/ backpack for a middle school girl?

I'm going into middle school, and I need a bag, or backpack, either one, I prefer book bags, but any suggestions are appreciated. :)) Thanks! Oh 50$ or under please!

I think the hollister ones are cuter, but thats my opinion. They have them like, everywhere. forever 21, hollister, aero, etc.

I have looked at Pac Sun where I have found recent school bags, but lately they have failed me. I have checked every store of the sort, Tillys, AE, Hollister, ect. I really need a new bag that is good and can withstand textbooks and binders.

To withstand textbooks and binders, try looking at a company that specializes in durability and not branding. Pac Sun, et.all are well-known brands but not necessarily known for durability. You can find a lot of 'cute' bags from some more heavy duty companies. Depending on what kind of bag you want, you should check out the following companies:

Timbuk2 - http://www.timbuk2.com - their products are known for being heavy-duty and durable. Their line of messenger bags are what bike messengers the world around use because they are so durable. They've expanded and now have a lot of more 'trendy' bags.

Jansport - http://www.jansport.com/ - they're famous for their school backpacks but they have a great reputation for wear if you get on of the heavier duty ones. Because they have a large school department, they also have some very cute styles.

for the grungy look, try http://www.fatiguesarmynavy.com/store/item/FA1955 where they have some cool heavy-duty fatigue looking bags. For that matter, check out any army surplus store.
