How do you keep your kids entertained while waiting in the car?

I have a 2, 4, and 8 year old boys.

I am mostly looking for ideals when we are waiting for my 8 year old to get out of school.
I have 3 portable dvd players. However, they are more hassle then they do good sometimes.

My daughter was fascinated with the Crayola Color Wonder books and markers at that age, and I've seen mini-sized ones that are easier to carry around. I'll stick one of those in her bag if I need to bring something for her to do.

His favorite color is Neon green, is really into the beatles, Loves the Mavericks, the Stars, and the Cowboys, dresses nice, likes video games, and music.
I was thinking of getting him a pair of tickets to a stars game but I don't know.
What would you get a 17 year old boy for Christmas?
And what are some good seats for a hockey game?

get him a "Flubber" (a movie character) plush toy and a ticket to see his favorite team play. Or a warm hug and half of the money in a best buy 100 dollar gift card along with a oatmeal or chocolate chip cookie bag (and the rest for his school savings).

How much do you spend on a child's birthday present when your child only sees them at school?

We've been invited to a party for a boy in my toddlers preschool class. What is the right amount to spend on a present for a child you don't know well outside of school? Also, any ideas on what to get a 3 year old boy?

I usually spend $10 to $15 on the actual gift. Then count in gift bag, tissue paper and a card and it comes to right about $20.

How do I get my 13 yr old son do things faster?

My boy is extermely slow in everything he does- for eg. he takes a little under 2 hours to finish a meal, about half an hour to learn a 3 line answer, about half an hour to pack his school bag. Because of this, the poor child spends all his time just eating and doing school homework with no time for sports or other activities. He never complains about the taste of the food and he always finishes off everything on his plate. When I rush him, he gets stressed out and pukes. Any suggestions?

You need to let him be who he is. Have you talked to him about missing out on other things? Maybe he needs to see a doctor cause he can't keep things down when he eats fast. Does he eat lunch at school cause they only get a half hour to eat.? How does he handle this? Maybe some counseling to see what is going on with him.
