Cute school back packs/messenger bag for junior in high school?

I'm going to a new school this fall that requires us to have macbooks. it is going to be a much smaller school than i was used to. goin from 4500 kids to 500 kids haha so i'll probably be able to stop at my locker pretty often to change books. but i am looking for a bag that is either a messenger bag or a backpack. I would rather it be designer or some type of higher brand. price doesn't matter. it just needs to be sturdy and protect my laptop. and of course stylish haha obviously i'm a girl. If you could post links or give me some sites i should check out that would be great. i've alrady looked at vera bradley and coach

messenger bag for school?

ill be starting school soon and i dont wanna look like a dork the way i did in highschool with my backpack, so im thinking about a messenger bag/sling bag. i would prefer something that sits diagonally at the back, and i want something that nothing will fall out of when i'm running around with it like that. any suggestions?

I would go to the school and see what all the other kids are carrying. Each school is different as to what the "in" thing is. If you do not want look like a dork, find out what others use so you can blend in and stop worrying about something falling out. Just close it up or zip it up. Good Luck Visit the campus and see how others are dressed too and then you will make wise choices. Everything does not have to be bought before you get there

Where can i find a really big, cute messenger bag for school?

Alright, so i need a bag big enough for like 2 college text books, one high school text book, 5 note books, two binders and maybe a change of clothes... ya that's a lot of stuff, and i am 15 so like i really don't want one for a little kid, and i am into the punk style, so if you could find one like that, it would be super helpful, thanks

I've seen a couple kids carrying it around campus. It's black and brown nylon / canvas, and on the strap there's an old seatbelt buckle like from an 80's Suburban. It seemed like maybe there were symbols for the four elements fire water wind earth on it? but I'm not sure on that... It's just a really cool looking bag and I'm in the market!

They have some very nice messenger bags. They can get a little pricey though.

Another option is to just ask the kids at school where they got their bag....?

I saw kids carry messenger bags in middle school but are they considered "cool" in High School? And which one has more room, which one is safer for my back?

A regular backpack is better for your back because it distributes the weight evenly on your shoulders. If your bag is typically very heavy a regular backpack is better.

Who knows a low price messenger bag that is available in target and in walmart?

There are a lot in stock now that fall is here and kids are going back to school. I would def take a quick run down to your local walmart or target and see what they have to offer. I am sure you can get a good deal on one now since there are sales all over the place. Good luck

Why do students in high school not care what kind of backpack others carry?

When I was a freshman last year, I noticed that the upper classes had odd choices in terms of backpacks. Like, someone will carry a freaking ninja turtle pack that's made for little kids, a Mario backpack or even an adventure time backpack. It was sort of funny, and I felt much more free to be myself. Basically, nobody had the same one because they were entirely based on personality. Is my high school the only one that has students that really don't care what other people carry? I'd always heard high school was full of fake people and, even though that's slightly true, its not at all bad like I had first expected.

No one cares at my school except for ONE thing.

Do NOT use a rolling backpack. It gets in the way of others and trips people and looks very "nerdy" so... yeah.

Other than that, they dont care. Some have backpacks for kids, shoulder bags, gucci bags, messenger bags, string bags, or no backpacks at all!

cute patterns,not girly though.
the kids at school call me "a scene kid." if that helps any.because i obviously like "scene" things.the whole band tee skinny jean deal?yuhp.thats me.
my limit is 30$ because im only getting 200 for shirts,pants,and shoes all together.

i found some really cheap+cute ones at tj maxx and the burlington coat factory.
my advice: get one that has only black and white patterns, get some fabrice markers, and color in the designs in rainbow!
