Do you think it is the school's responsibility to provide healthy food?

Anya

what would you do? (ie. complain, etc.)
how would you feel?

Answer
NO. And I'll repeat it: NO.

SCHOOL: (THIS IS COURTESY OF WIKIPEDIA)

A school (from Greek ÏÏολή (scholÄ), originally meaning "leisure", and also "that in which leisure is employed", "school"),[1] is an institution designed to allow and encourage students (or "pupils") to learn, under the supervision of teachers. Most countries have systems of formal education, which is commonly compulsory. In these systems, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regional section below), but generally include primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education.

DINER/CAFETERIA:

A diner is a prefabricated restaurant building characteristic of North America, especially on Long Island, in New York City, in New Jersey, and in other areas of the Northeastern United States, although examples can be found throughout the US and in Canada. Some people apply the term not only to the prefabricated structures, but also to restaurants that serve cuisine similar to traditional diner cuisine even if they are located in more traditional types of buildings. Diners are characterized by a wide range of foods, mostly American, a casual atmosphere, a counter, and late operating hours. "Classic American Diners" are often characterized by an exterior layer of glimmering stainless steelâa feature unique to diner architecture.

Just because "so called parents" these days are so damned lazy to feed or monitor their kids, IT IS not THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SCHOOL.

I went to Catholic school from K- post grad school, and we NEVER had a cafeteria or "school lunches": WE TOOK OURS IN A BROWN PAPER BAG.

Just because "so called schools" provide a VERY expensive baby sitting service for working "parents" who don't give a rat's behind about their kids, and "schools" are ONLY interested in "attendance" (if you think that they're concerned about your kid's welfare, think again~they just want a body in that chair during attendance so the school district gets subsidized by the government.)

Feed, clothe and be responsible for you OWN kids. Oh, and why do MY taxes pay for YOUR kid to go to school???

Alcohol on a school trip?

missdiss23

So there's a trip to Florida with my school coming up, and were driving across the border from Canada. Me and my friends want to bring alcohol, (yes we are underage I don't want to hear comments) but are wondering if we will get caught by border patrol. it's 2 coach buses so I'm not sure what they do at the border. Please help? Oh and we are not scared of getting caught by the teachers unless they search our bags.
yeah were definetly bringing like 40% stuff

Answer
No, just disguise it as other drinks.

Pour alcohol that looks like a certain drink, into that drinks bottle. They might check the luggage but its a long shot, I doubt they'd be bothered systematically going through 2 coaches of kids to check all the luggage. If you do get caught though, then you never heard it from me :p.

Have fun in the sunshine state! ^_^.
