I'm also a teen girl and I'm going through the same search. Places just don't have those classic messenger bags we're looking for anymore, do they? However, I have spotted a few I've liked. At Target, they have a great selection of messenger bags, like they have hundreds. I saw a bag a totally fell in love with at my local Target the other day, so it's definitely worth checking out. I also have seen a few good ones at JCP.com, but the selection isn't as great and I didn't find the exact style I was looking for. Think your best bet would be ebay - just type in River Island bag into the search. Otherwise look at their site to see if they have a sale.
